A cookie is a small text file that the website stores in your browser and reads back on your next visit. Under the Swedish Electronic Communications Act you must be told which cookies a website uses and why. Cookies needed for a service you have asked for yourself – such as keeping you logged in or completing a payment – may be used without consent, and those are the only ones PortPoint uses. That is why no cookie banner is shown.

Cookies that are set

None of the cookies is used to follow you between websites, for statistics or for advertising.

Your login session – keeps you logged in between page views. The name starts with sb- and contains our project id at the database provider Supabase; a long session is split into several numbered parts. Set only when you log in or continue as a guest.
Lifetime: At most 400 days. Renewed while you use the service and removed when you log out.

Remembers whether you chose light or dark mode in PortAdmin and Systemadmin. Set only if you switch theme.

Remembers whether you collapsed one of the vehicle lists on your profile page. Set only if you collapse a list.

__stripe_mid, __stripe_sidSet by Stripe
Fraud protection in Stripe's payment form. Set only when you pay by card or save a card on the profile page – the form is then loaded from Stripe, which is the payment intermediary and handles the cookies under its own privacy policy.

Other things stored in the browser

Besides cookies, the app stores a few things locally in your browser, in its own storage. None of it is sent anywhere, and all of it disappears if you clear site data for portpoint.app.

Recent searches. Up to three sites you have searched for, so the search box can suggest them again. Cleared when you log out.
Dismissed prompts. That you dismissed the prompt about adding PortPoint to your home screen and that you completed the introduction, so they are not shown again.
Scanner zoom level. How far you zoomed in the number plate reader in PortAdmin, so it starts the same way next time.
Offline copies. The app stores your receipt pages and its own program files in the browser cache, so the ticket can be shown without a connection. No other pages with logged-in content are stored.
Push notifications. If you turn on notifications, the browser creates a subscription and we store its address in order to send. Turned off under Profile, which deletes the address.

Third parties

PortPoint has no analytics, tracking or advertising tools – no Google Analytics, no social media buttons. Fonts are served from our own domain, not from Google. Map imagery is fetched by your browser directly from the map provider Esri, which then sees your IP address but sets no cookies through us. Stripe's payment form is loaded only when you pay by card or save a card, see the table above. Cloudflare, which delivers the site, currently sets no cookies.

How to control cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block cookies for portpoint.app you cannot stay logged in, and therefore cannot buy or view receipts. When you log out, the session cookie is removed and the app clears its saved searches. Clearing site data for portpoint.app removes everything in the table and list above, including the receipts saved for offline use – they are fetched again the next time you open them with a connection.
